« Les Bidasses en Folie » au Site Normand…
Au début des années 1910, Monsieur Henri et Madame Chauffray ont créé cet hôtel-restaurant. Ils l’ont tenu jusqu’en 1955 avec l’aide de leur belle-fille, Berthe, remariée avec un bouilleur de cru (distillateur ambulant de calvados) Raphaël Bisson.
En 1955, Janine Chauffray épouse Guy Helix et, ensemble, ils reprennent le restaurant jusqu’en 1979. C’est la 3
ème génération. En 1971, « les Charlots » viennent tourner un épisode du célèbre film «
les bidasses en folie » dans cette auberge.
Guy Helix, le patron, y joue le rôle d’un client de l’hôtel.
Le plafond du restaurant gardera longtemps les traces du passage agité des acteurs.

Agli inizi del 1910, Monsieur Henri e Madame Chauffray aprirono questo hotel/ristorante. Lo tennero fino al 1955 con l’aiuto della nuora Berthe, risposatasi con l’acquavitiere (distillatore ambulante di Calvados) Raphaël Bisson.
Nel 1955, Janine Chauffray sposa Guy Helix e insieme ripresero il ristorante fino al 1979. Era la terza generazione. Nel 1971 « les Charlots » arrivarono per girare un episodio del film celebre in Francia, “Cinque matti al servizio di leva”, in questo hotel.
Guy Helix, il proprietario, ebbe la parte di un cliente dell’hotel.
Il soffitto del ristorante tenne per un po’ di tempo le tracce del passaggio agitato degli attori.

“Les Bidasses en Folie” at the hotel Site Normand.
At the beginning of 1910 Mr. Henri and his wife Chauffray started this hotel/restaurant. They kept it up until 1955 with the help of their daughter-in-law who was remarried with a home-distiller who travelled around Calvados. His name was Raphael Bisson.
In 1955, Janine Chauffray married Guy Helix and together took over the restaurant until 1979 (this was the 3rd generation). In 1971 a film company arrived and filmed an episode for the famous “Les bidasses en folie” at the hotel.
Guy Helix, the owner, played the part of a client in the hotel. The ceiling of the restaurant for a long-time afterwards had markings on it made by the actors.
