Une boucherie…
Arthur Marguerite a tenu cette boucherie de 1925 à 1955, suite à Monsieur Monsallier.
L’intérieur du magasin était couvert de faïence blanche. On ne voyait pas la viande qui restait au frigo.
Monsieur Marguerite était toujours au magasin tandis que Hélène, sa femme, avec son éternelle blouse blanche, était à la caisse.
Avec leur fils, Jean, ils avaient aussi monté une cidrerie au village de « La Fontaine ».
Ces braves gens ont nourri bien des familles pendant la guerre.
Arthur, un homme autoritaire, était aussi lieutenant des pompiers de Clécy. Il termina au département, avec le grade de commandant.

Una macelleria…
Arthur Marguerite tenne questa macelleria dal 1925 al 1955, successivamente a Monsieur Monsallier.
L’interno del negozio era coperto in maiolica bianca. La carne, che restava nelle celle frigorifere, non era visibile.
Monsieur Marguerite era sempre nel negozio e Hélène, la moglie, con la sua blusa sempre bianca, era alla cassa.
Con il figlio Jean aveva anche aperto una produzione di sidro nel villaggio de « La Fontaine ».
Questa brava gente ha fornito il cibo a tante famiglie durante la guerra.
Arthur, un uomo autoritario, era anche luogotenente dei pompieri di Clécy. Terminò il servizio con il grado di comandante.

A butchers shop.
Arthur Marguerite ran this shop from 1925-1955, following Mr. Monsallier.
The inside of the shop was covered with white earthenware pots. Meat was never on display, it was always stored in the fridge.
Mr. Marguerite was always in the shop while his wife Hélène, always wearing a white ()
was at the check-out.
With their son, Jean, they installed a cider presse
in the village of La Fontaine.
These brave people made sure that families were well nourished during the war.
Arthur, a man of authority, was also a senior member of the fire brigade in Clécty. He ended his career as with
the senior rank of Commander.
